How To Add The Recycle Bin To The Taskbar In Windows 7

When you’re busy multi-tasking on your PC, sometimes getting to the Recycle Bin can a pain. So let’s take a look at a couple of different methods for adding the Recycle Bin to your Taskbar for easier access.

STEP 1: The first thing you want to do is create a new shortcut on the desktop.

STEP 2: Now for the location type in or copy and paste the following:
explorer.exe shell:RecycleBinFolder
It should look like this…then click the Next button.

STEP 4: Now name it Recycle Bin or whatever you wish to call it and click Finish.

STEP 5: Now we need to change the icon to the look of the Recycle Bin so right-click the icon and go to Properties. Click on the Change Icon button.

STEP 6: Type or copy and paste the following into the field for where to look for icons and hit Enter.
%SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll

In the new window of icons just scroll over a bit and find the Recycle Bin select it and click Ok. Click on Apply and Ok to close out of the Recycle Bin Properties screen.

STEP 7: you’ll now have your new Recycle Bin shortcut. You can both drag it to your Taskbar or right-click and select Pin to Taskbar.

There you go! Now you have the Recycle Bin on the Taskbar, and if you want to remove it just unpin it.

This gives you another way to quickly access the Recycle Bin while you are busy multi-tasking. Also, you will probably want to remove the shortcut you made on the desktop. With this method you can’t drag items directly to the icon on the Taskbar, but it let’s you open up the bin.

A Smart Hidden Trick To Close Windows Explorer In Windows 7 Or Vista

If you want to test an explorer shell plug-in or registry hack without having to log off, more technical users will usually just kill the explorer.exe process in Task Manager. Windows 7 and Vista has another way to do the same thing that you might not be aware of. To implement this trick all you have to do is to follow below steps:
STEP 1: Open the Start menu. Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys at the same time and Right -click on an empty area of the menu, and you’ll see a new option called Exit Explorer.

STEP 2: Click on Exit Explorer to close windows explorer. The Taskbar should completely disappear, and any open folder windows if you are using default explorer settings.
Classic Close Explorer Method:
STEP 1: Open Task Manager with Ctrl+Shift+Esc.
STEP 2: Right-click on explorer.exe in the process list, and choose End Process.
Restart Explorer
STEP 1: Use Ctrl+Shift+Esc to bring up Task Manager.
STEP 2: Click on new task and type in “explorer” into the run box. The start menu will re-appear, but you might notice a few tray icons will be missing until you log off and back on. (Or restart those applications).

The only real benefit to using this method is that Explorer has a chance to properly shut down, rather than just killing the process which could screw things up. Also, it’s fun to know this new geeky trick.

How To Back Up The Windows Registry

Every windows system has something known as the windows registry, which is a hierarchical listing of various properties and settings of different aspects of Microsoft windows system. The registry defines and controls how everything in windows will look, feel, and function. Think of it like computer’s version of brain, which controls all aspects of the computer.
It is possible to access the windows registry by clicking on the start orb button and typing regedit in the search option. Typically, whenever you open the windows registry you will see something like the following on the screen

The windows registry is made up of keys and values, typically, what you see in the left pane in the registry are known as keys and subkeys and what you see in the right pane are known as values. Each value will have a name and data.
Since the windows registry controls almost all aspects of how windows looks, feel and function, that means that if you were to change values in the windows registry then you change everything about windows. It is possible to manually change values in the registry. However, it is important to be careful while playing around with the windows registry, since in case of any mistake it can corrupt your operating system and make it unusable. It is highly advisable to back up the windows registry before proceeding with the windows section so that you can repair and restore your computer in case of any problem.
If you are using windows 7, then simply follow the below steps to back up your registry and system:
STEP 1: Right click on My Computer and select properties.
STEP 2: Click on System Protection option from the left pane.
STEP 3: Click the Create button and windows will create a restore point to which your computer can be restored in case of any problem while editing the registry.

How to convert your computer into virtual wifi-router?

Hey guys you should know that Windows 7 includes a little-known new feature called Virtual Wi-Fi, which effectively turns your PC or laptop into a software-based router. Any other Wi-Fi-enabled devices within range - a desktop, laptop, an iPod, or any smartphone - will see you as a new network and, once logged on, immediately be able to share your internet connection.

Disclaimer:-This will only work if your wireless adapter driver supports it.so make sure you've installed the very latest drivers to give you the best chance.

So now without going into detail let's see the step involve:-

1. Download Virtual Router(free size=1 mb) and install it.

(why virtual router if there are already so many software? This is because i have also tried that so many software but not satisfied to anyone problem includes either they are ad supported or doesn't work properly or connection problem or sometime less strength.)

2.Run cmd using Administration permission.

3.Type following command
 netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=wifiName key=YourPassword
and press [Enter]. Replace "wifiName" with the name you'd like to use for your custom network, and "MyPassword" with a password that's a little harder to guess.
3. next Type following command
netsh wlan start hostednetwork.
and press [Enter] to fire up the virtual adapter.
and thats all. enjoy your wifi-hotspot, see screenshot below

But now let me here, suggest something....
while you running your virtual router you may got error something like below
"Virtual router could not be started"
"The Group or resources is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation"
then follow these steps to troubleshoot this problem
1. Open Network and sharing center from control panel.
2. Click on Change Adapter settings at the left tab.
3. Disable "Microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter" and enable it again.
or,
Disable "Local Area Network connection/Wireless Network Connection 2" and enable it again.
5.Type netsh wlan start hostednetwork. or Open Virtual Router Manager and start Virtual Router.
and enjoy............

How to recover locked-up (freeze) Applications in windows?

Hey guys today i am going to share with you a very interesting and most helpful trick. i.e. How to recover locked-up (freeze) Applications in windows?

In previous version of Windows, If an application locks-up then there was nothing you could do about it. But in Windows 7 there is an option which not only explain the problem, but may get your program working again without any loss of data.

So, let's see what to do when lockup occurs,
Steps:-
1.Click Start, type RESMON and click the RESMON.EXE link to launch the Resource Monitor.

2. Find your frozen process in the CPU pane (it should be highlighted in red).
3. Right-click it and select Analyze Wait Chain.
4.If you see at least two processes in the list, then the lowest, at the end of the tree, is the one holding up your program.( If it's not a vital Windows component, or anything else critical, then save any work in other open applications).

5. Check the box next to this process, click End Process, and your locked-up(freeze) program will often spring back to life.

Add Disk Cleanup to the Right Click Menu for a Drive

1
Normally when you want to access the Disk Cleanup tool, you usually have to either find it through the start menu, or open up the drive properties window.
• Instead of going through all that, we can use a simple registry hack to add a menu item to the drive right-click menu and choose.
2

And then disk cleanup will begin:

Let's see this very Manual Registry Hack:

1.Open up regedit through the start menu search or run box, and then browse down to the following key:
2.HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell
3.Create a new key called “diskcleanup” and set the default value to “Disk Cleanup”.

4.Then create another key underneath it called “command” and set the value to the following:

cleanmgr.exe /d %1

4.The change should be immediate, just right-click on the drive and you should see the new menu item.

If YOu feel Uncomfortable with text then see this very Video:

How To Add "Open with Notepad" to the Context Menu for All File

The default method of opening unknown files forces you to go through a list of known applications and is generally a pain to deal with. That’s why I like to have a context menu option for “Open with Notepad” so that I can quickly open up files without having to go through a lot of trouble.
